How We’re Designing Sites for Easy Big-Rig Access Near the Lake
The Resort at Barren River Lake is being built in Allen County, Kentucky, across the road from Barren River Lake. One of the early design priorities is making the sites practical for larger RVs and travel trailers.

Site Layout Priorities
Site length and maneuvering room are important planning considerations for Class A motorhomes and longer fifth-wheels. Final pad dimensions, turning clearances and vehicle limits have not been confirmed in this article; do not treat these design priorities as a guarantee that every rig will fit.
Hookup Placement
Before a future booking, confirm which sites offer electric, water and sewer connections, the available amperage and the position of each hookup. This article does not announce final utility specifications.
Leveling and Surface
A stable pad and manageable slope are important to RV setup. Verify the completed site surface and leveling requirements when site details are released, and follow your RV manufacturer’s setup guidance.
Spacing and Circulation
Spacing for slides, outdoor use and vehicle circulation should be checked against the finished site plan. Ask about those dimensions and any restrictions before booking.
Current Status
These are design intentions based on the property layout and the types of RVs we expect to host. Final site lengths, exact configurations, and any pull-through options will be published once the engineering and grading plans are complete.
