Cave City Distilling Company

Cave City Distilling Company, formerly Balance Distillery, is a Cave City stop to consider alongside a Mammoth Cave outing. Its official website provides tour booking and visiting hours. Check the particular tour’s age and access rules before bringing children. Cave City Distilling: tours and hours

Purple Toad Tasting Room in Bowling Green

Purple Toad’s Bowling Green tasting room is at 6245 Cemetery Road and offers wine, bourbon and spirit tastings. It is a separate location from the winery’s Paducah operation. Use the Bowling Green page when planning your visit. Purple Toad: Bowling Green visits

Planning Notes

Purple Toad welcomes walk-ins for everyday tastings without reservations and asks groups of five or more to call ahead. For Cave City Distilling, check the tour booking calendar. Calculate both drives from your actual lake-area starting point rather than treating Scottsville and the entire lakeshore as one location. These stops can be considered with a Cave City or Bowling Green day trip. Choose activities and transportation first, then check current hours and availability before traveling.

Planning a future RV trip with a Kentucky bourbon outing? The Resort at Barren River Lake is under construction and is not open yet. Our RV-sites-only resort is across the road from the lake, with no cabins now or planned and no direct lake access from the property.
